I used a cigarette lighter to USB adapter to power this unit in my car. I hid it in the vehicles trunk under the rear windows' ledge. Now I can log in anywhere in the world to track it's location, or access a previous 7 day history of where the car has been (great for cheating spouses). Email alarms can be setup if a speed limit has been exceeded, emails of the vehicles location at a specific time(s) each day can be sent as well. The one year basic included subscription ($50 per year after that); with the optional $5 per month deluxe subscription (recommended) is a steal compared to what other USB tracker companies are charging. I've seen similar products charge $50 per month plus a $30 initial setup fee for tracking. Setup is simple on the website. The website shows satellite/cell tower signal strength, battery charging status etc. Without the hard wired power supply the built in battery may require recharging as often as once per day if frequent updates (eg. location once per minute) are desired. I've only been using the unit for several days so I can't comment on it's durability.
