This was purchased to be part of a electrical cord repair for a circular saw that had to be repaired. I got some smaller shrink tube for the wires and this for the outer layer that had to be removed. I brought it from both sides to meet in the middle of the repair patch for extra protection then electrical tape on the outside as well. If I had thought another step ahead the tape wouldn't have been needed with another length of the tube for the middle.
