Expensive and worthless

Just bought today and have spent 3 hrs trying to get it to work and it does nothing but the flash green, tried all the trouble shooting tips off Google and still nothing

Hard to Clean

Bought for a Christmas present and it works decently most of the time but does have a defrost cycle and sometimes ice blocks the sensor and it stops making full bullets. Almost impossible to clean since the water reservoir is not removable.

Sits lopsided out of the box

I didn't even plug it in. Right out of the box the unit sits completely lopsided on a flat surface. Legs are not adjustable. Instructions says leveling is important. No stock anywhere nearby to exchange. I will return this unit and buy another brand.
No, I do not recommend this product.

So far so good

Bought a month ago, we don’t have it on constantly but do use it to refill the ice bin a couple times a week. Works well, makes ice quickly. Kinda wish it kept the ice bin cold so it didn’t melt waiting for you to pick it up, but it puts the melted water back into the ice cycle just fine. Doesn’t melt too fast, it’ll fill up quickly too. Very nice.

You are correct, the ice storage area is not refrigerated. It is intended that ice produced be periodically transferred to zipperlock bags for storage in a conventional freezer.
To make firmer/larger/drier ice, use colder water. Tip, let the first couple of batches of ice fall into the water reservoir to chill the water.
