After my husband broke the lid on my plastic toilet seat and I knew I would need to stand on the lid to finish painting the ceiling, I thought that a better replacement would be the solid oak toilet seat.

Very nice, not practical

Nice seat, but this type of wood seat needs continous replacement. The bolts constantly strip. We have an off white toilet with a wood vanity so this toilet seat blends the best, but we have to replace it every year and a half or so. We have swapped out 3 times in 5 years. Due to the price and continuous changing, we are going to install a more generic white toilet that had less lid issues in the near future.
