I bought 6 different pieces in total. They were easy to put together and a great deal on sale. I haven't had any problems with this particular cubby, but some of the doors and drawers on the other ones no longer close properly after a few years of use.

Q: What colour are they, exactly? I have a "black-brown" set from Ikea, much more black then anything, and I'm wondering if they'll look alright together. Are these units available in black? is this a very dark brown?

Q: Are these just stackable or can the seperate units acrually be secured together? From the pictures there doesn't seem to be any visual indication that there is a way to connect each modular cube together, short of drilling your own holes and screwing them together.
