Perfect microwave stand

The steps to put this together were easy to follow. However, we got to step 23/24 and found one side of the drawer was miscut, with the track for the drawer bottom cut into the top of one side piece. I took just this piece, back to the store where I bought it, and the staff opened a new box off the shelf, grabbed the piece I needed, made sure it was cut properly, and I was on my way.

Easy to follow instructions. Pretty strongly constructed however the material is very fragile. The veneer is very thin and can be chipped easily.
Overall the cabinet looks good for the price

A: Hi Ivy, Yes,It is white color and the cabinet panels were mix of painted wood and melamine white particle board. All front panels are with white painting and all inner and side panels are with white melamine.

Q: Does the top cover have to be used?

A: The stand would be functional and stable without the top cover, however I don’t think the top edge is finished with the white finishing strip under the portion that the top piece would fit along the edge. So there would be a wood edge showing. I’m not 100% certain if this as I assembled it several months ago.

A: The hole is 13.5 inches high,yours is same height of my microwave and I have room to spare. Also the extra space in the cupboard part is excellent

Q: Can you build this without the microwave hood? We noticed concerns about the size of a microwave and clearance space, so we were wondering if we could leave the hood off to eliminate those issues.

A: Yes you can but then the top would look unfinished so you would probably want to paint the top edge... Not sure how it would look but it is a possibility
