I wouldn't even give this one star, except I didn't have the option. I bought this in September for our kids room in the colder months. I finally just opened it and took it out of the box today, plugged it in and within 5 minutes it turned off and won't turn back on. I tried different outlets thinking maybe i blew the breaker, but nope. it just quit. I can't find the receipt either. Do not waste your money!

Q: Is this a metal casing or plastic? Is there an odour?

A: Plastic casing. Never noticed an odour while in use - fresh new out of box smell like everything else I guess. Use for travel trailer when camping in cooler nights. Also used to keep heat in new pool house in spring when I started inside work.

Q: How loud is the fan? Also, does it save you on hydro compared to permanent wall heaters?

A: This fan should be quieter than normal conversation, and a little louder than the typical refrigerator. We are not clear on how the energy consumption would compare to permanent wall heaters at this time, but this will be investigated.

A: Blower, fan assist, or fan forced: the terms are used interchangeably in these products, as long as there is a fan pushing the heat out of the heater.
