Q: Can two of these units be stacked on top of each other? I've seen other shelves that have screw on feet. But instead of the feet, it was also possible to screw on another leg to make a taller unit.

A: Recently purchased this product and as far as I can make out they are NOT meant to be stacked. It is possible, albeit not the most secure. Would look for something else as it's clear they aren't designed to be modular anymore.

Q: can i re-adjust the shelves to different levels at later times for different use if i want different spaced shelves for different purpose. I have another larger same unit and it doesnt seem that I can once theyre in place.

A: Yes. The shelves attach to the posts by wedging a plastic clip between the shelf corner tubes and the vertical posts. It's the heavier the shelf, the tighter the wedge. Any shelf can be adjusted at any time by whacking it upward from the bottom so it comes up off the wedge. This is awkward, mind you, because you have to to all four corners more-or-less simultaneously. You can then move the wedges to a new slot on the vertical posts and drop the shelf back on top so they clamp down on the plastic wedges. It's a two person job if you want to do it while the rest of the shelving unit is still loaded, or a one person job if you lay the shelving unit down on the floor first.

Q: Anyone turn them upside down? They have that nice raised 1 inch grill that surrounds the bottom portion of each shelf. I use mine for my filled canning jars and the added security of that raised area is a mighty interesting feature.

A: Yes you can. Another commenter says no, but that's not true. The corners of the shelves have a basic metal tube welded to them. It isn't tapered, so you can mounti it upside down if you want to. What holds the shelf in place is the plastic insert that goes onto the metal posts. These inserts have a grove molded into them that fits into the grooves stamped at regular intervals in the posts. Those grooves are what determine the height(s) you can position each shelf. The plastic inserts must be mounted so that the wide end is at the bottom. When you place a shelf over it (upside down or not) the tube at the corners of the shelf squeeze down over the tapered plastic part and clamps the plastic to the post. This works no matter which way the shelf itself is facing.

Q: Am I safe to put my 10 gallons aquarium (about 140lbs) since it says it can hold 160 lbs per shelve or am I asking for trouble because I am getting too close to the limitation?

A: Really good shelves. But 1 inch of the legs are over the top shelv. So, if you want to put a pièce with a bigger size, you must shim it. Not sure it is recommanded for aquarium.

Q: I would like to put this against a step. Is it possible to set it up so that the front legs reach 6" longer than the back legs yet still arrange the shelves to be flat?

A: Yes; though the back posts will be that 6" taller then the front and stick up over your top shelf, which may or may not work out in the space you're trying to use.

Q: I need a space of 28" high to put a laundry basket on the bottom shelf. I want to put a second laundry basket on the top shelf which is about 30" high. If I remove the middle shelf, will this weaken the solid structure of the entire shelf unit?

Q: Can the bottom shelf be adjusted so that it is all the way at the bottom? ie. to minimize the height of the legs, and maximize height of the shelves.

A: It goes lower than the picture - I’ve got mine about 3” from the floor. So no, but it can go about half the height of the photo.
