Not sufficient for my needs

This shredder only shreds about 10 pieces of paper (fed 1 or 2 at a time) before seeming to overhead. Actually, I think part of the problem is that the opening for feeding paper isn't adequate and allows the paper to feed to one side or the other - which quickly seems to jam (yellow/red light). I finally determined that I could clear the problem (carefully, safely) by disconnecting the machine and manually clearing the clog of paper in the shredder's teeth. It still has to cool in order to operate but that happens relatively quickly. I must say this is the worst shredder I've had (2 so far over the years).

I've owned the LX 180 Cross Shredder for 4 months, and really love the smooth operation, no jams, and generous bin. Fits well in my home office. Highly recommended.

And I really shouldn't be surprised, Fellowes makes some great products. The LX180 with Intellibar is a powerful shredder that's simple, easy to use, and fast. I"ve been personally using the shredder for over a month and am always pleased with its performance. I also like the slick contemporary design and easy-rolling wheels make it very convenient. I am confident that this shredder will last a long time based on it early performance.

Quiet, Modern, Sleek

It has a slender and attractive footprint for its bin capacity with gentle and modern lights that indicate when it is shredding. I also like the modern lines and gentle sounds it makes. For a workhorse of a machine, it is delightfully simple and safe. The peace of mind that comes with SafeSense that guards our fingers is worth it, especially for an item that can shred through credit cards and staples. My other favorite feature is the efficiency meter. This will indicate if you can add more sheets of paper to the mouth of the device! Brilliant. If you are looking for a hassle-free investment for your home office, that is efficient and functional plus easy on the eyes, this is definitely it.
