Non-toxic and easy to work with

Doesn't work as well as the toxic stuff you could get in the 90's but it is easy to work with and cleans up with water which is nice. Need to apply multiple times when dealing with many layers of paint but gets the job done.

EZ Strip removal products are water based and stop working if they dry out. Avoid direct sunlight and cover treated surface with painters plastic to keep product wet and working during longer set times. 2. Set times will vary, EZ Strip will not damage recommended substrates being stripped so let the product do the work for you. Leave the treated surface for as long as needed for coating to soften for removal. 3. For best removal results use recommended removal tools ideal for the surface you are stripping. 4. EZ Strip Paint & Varnish Stripper is not designed to remove factory finished or baked on coatings ie. vehicle paint. However this product is very effective at removing aftermarket paints, varnish, and waterproof coatings. EZStrip

Please note we make it very clear on our packaging that this product is not designed for use on factory finished or heat treated paints and coatings. ie. vehicle paint. EZ Strip Paint & Varnish Stripper is however very effective at removing aftermarket paints like spray paint from hard surfaces. EZStrip

Q: does this stuff have too be scrapped or can u pressure wash it off

A: If you would like to use a pressure washer, for best results, after allowing ample dwell time, we recommend first scraping off as much of the old paint or varnish or coating as possible. This will allow the stripper gel to work more effectively on the remaining material. After scraping, you can apply the EZ Strip gel again and let it work to break down the remaining paint/varnish. Follow the product instructions for application and dwell time. Once you complete these steps, you can then pressure wash the surface to remove the remaining loosened material. Pressure washing alone without first scraping will probably make a mess as you are will be spraying the loosened coating (paint) without any control. So in summary, for optimal results it's best to: 1) Apply EZ Strip gel and let it work, depending on the coating this could be 15 minutes to several hours based on coating durability. 2) Scrape off as much coating as possible 3) Pressure wash to clean the surface 4) Always follow all product directions and take proper safety precautions. Q: can this be used on a fiberglass boat hull?

A: I’m going to say no because it melted a plastic tray but check with the manufacturer or do a test spot. I put a paint brush in a drywall mud tray and covered it with the paint remover. I then left it overnight to soak as the paintbrush was rock solid. Paint brush came out amazing but the bottom of the tray became gooey.
