WAS a good tent

Was great while it lasted. Can fit a air mattress and three adults tightly. But after a couple years of use the two main poles just snapped in the exact same spots.

Decent tent for the price

We bought four of these for our Scout Troop. Sets up easily and has lots of room for kids and gear. The shock cord did break on the first set up of one tent, but it was an easy enough fix. Had two tents now for two years and have used them in all seasons. I would tarp it for extended use in rain.

Basic Tent great price

I have a older version of this tent and is great for the occasional camping trip. However unlike the tent in the photo, the older version tent has a tarp floor that comes up the sides about 4". I've never had water problems from the floor. That said if you are camping in fowl weather bring a tarp to put over it. The fabric is Water resistant but not 100% water proof.
It's not the tallest tent but I can almost stand upright in side. Mine would sleep 4 smaller adults with no issues.
It is the easiest dome tent I've put up Bar the pop up tents. As a plus it fits back in the bag.

Q: Is there mesh? Privacy? This product says there is mesh but it doesn't look see through at all, where is the mesh located? and from experience does it give privacy?

A: You can definitely see through the mesh, but if you put the fly on then there's 100% privacy. It's only if you leave the fly off that you can see right into the tent.

Q: what shape is the floor? One reviewer notes the odd shape (footprint) and shows a picture that seems to indicate that it's pentagonal. Is that the case? If so, what's the configuration of the connection of the 3rd pole at the peak?

A: Little late but maybe this will help. I have a older version of this tent and it has five poles that connect to a centre hub at the top. It is most certainly a pentagonal. The floor plan photo show in the web site is not correct.

A: Not too sure what the poles are made of but yes, I've used this tent in snow and the poles are sturdy enough not to break. That said, the tent did collapse under about 6 inches of snow. It's definitely not an all-weather tent.

Q: escort tent size i bought an escort tent about a year ago, during travelling the poles were stolen, i am looking to replace them but am wondering if the measurements are the same as the ones on the site (9.5' by 9' by 55"), the product number for the escort 4 person on the site is 76-5038-2, wheras the product number of my tent is 76-5150-2, would there be any changes to the tent size over the past year? any help is tremendously appreciated.

A: I have both the new version and the old version and they're definitely different. The poles that work for the new one unfortunately won't work for the old one.

A: The tent is approximately 9 feet long x 8 feet wide........If your double mattress is 75 inches long x 54 inches wide, technically you would be able to fit 2 in this tent but it would take up the entire length of the tent and leave only 21 inches at the end of the mattress, We would not recommend it. 76-5039 (Escort Dome Tent, 5-Person) may better suit your needs.

Q: I have an escort tent. The Canadian Tire code is 76-5039. I would like to know the model # of this tent. can i get replacement poles for this tent? We had one pole snap on this tent and would like to continue using it. However we can not use it because of the broken pole.
