Q: Is Canadian Tire reprogramming the computer automaticaly when they change the battery?

Q: 2012 Audi Q5 with a 3.2 L.I need to replace the OEM VARTA AGM battery in the car. Has the 92 Ah 520A DIN 860A.VARTA batteries have the BEM CODE which is needed to code the new battery. ELIMINATOR do not have them. What can I use for the BEM codes?

A: You don't need the BEM code if you have VCDS or OBDeleven, which every VW/Audi owner should have. Just go into coding and change the serial number by 1 digit. It usually defaults to 11111111, change it to 11111112, that's enough to tell the car hey this is a different battery than the old one and it will sort the rest out on its own.

Q: Why does it say the battery is for a 07 Avalanche but has side termials and not top like the truck has? Am I supose to modify my cables for it to fit? MotoMaster Eliminator Ultra Flat Plate AGM Automotive Battery Product#10-7820-2
12 years agoA: A Group 48 (L3) battery, which fits many VW, Mercedes, BMW, newer GM trucks and more, was added to Eliminator Ultra assortment in April 2014. It is model 10-4820. Please use our Car Parts Selector tool to find the correct batteries available for your specific vehicle.

Q: Do these ever go on sale? If so how much does the price drop? I need a new battery soon but want to know if its worth waiting for it to go on sale.
13 years agoA: On sale now, don't expect the huge discounts they have on some other products 10-15% is good especially since the price is lower than the regular retail (Exide Edge) and offer a longer warranty and lower core charge.

Q: What is the cold cranking amps of this battery?
13 years agoA: This group 35 battery label says 780 CA at zero degrees Celsius and 650 CCA at -18 Celsius. This is the only Motomaster battery I've seen with CCA rating at -18 Celsius.

A: If you're purchasing a new battery and you bring in your old (dead) one, you will receive a core refund towards your purchase. But if you're just bringing in a dead battery, then at this time Canadian Tire does not provide compensation. That said, they will gladly accept your battery for safe disposal.

A: If the listing calls for two options - models without Start/Stop and models with Start/Stop - and your vehicle came equipped with Start/Start, you must install the battery listed for Start/Stop vehicles (even if your Start/Stop isn't working) to ensure fit and performance.

A: Fit my 2015 Accent really well. And has much more power than OE. The OE battery is a little bit smaller than the platform/base allows, so even though this replacement battery is slightly bigger, it actually fits perfectly. Don’t know about your 2019, you’d have to measure to be 100% sure.
