Eastman 60056 Fails Again for Christmas

I purchased an Eastman 60056 (240 V, 300 W) for my annual hot water tank fall cleaning. I had read the poor reviews with comments such as "50% fail rate is not good enough", et cetera. I should have known better. Christmas Day, -20 deg C, element failure after 8 weeks of use (I get 12 month minimum with my hard water) with other brands. I clean the tank in the fall so I don't have to siphon water outside in winter. A fine company such as Canadian Tire should not carry this product. I tend to be a person who leaves positive feedback as I feel most don't take the time when a product does what it should. I strongly recommend that you do not use this Eastman product.
