Cooks great! Hard to Get Parts

Had a horizontal smoker that meat would never get really tender. I get fall off the bone ribs and pork butt that is so tender it falls apart as I'm taking it out of the smoker. The only bad thing I have to say is that the charcoal grate is thin and after a year it is totally destroyed from having the charcoal heat the metal. Have tried ordering replacement, but waited 2.5 months on backorder, was issued a refund with promise of part still coming, has not arrived. Can't effectively use smoker without the grate.

I only used this smoker twice. The first cook off and then a single attempt at smoking meat. I didn't see any issues after the initial cook off. Days later I tried smoking meat. After only 2 hours at 175°, I noticed a yellow-like plume coming from the smoker. Upon opening the door, I noticed a majority of interior coating was cracked and peeling, exposing the stainless steel beneath. This is NOT creosote or soot. Unfortunately, it was a waste of almost $200 of meat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My pit is two years old and I love it. It’s a copy of one I had in the 1970’s and I loved it now with the Signature Series I have one in my backyard and loving it. You can barbecue a 10 Lb. brisket,sausage and ribs all at same time. And the only thing I would like to see is raised up about 12” from the ground but that’s all. And believe me every body loves my barbecue.
