Satisfait

The Shed assembly and instructions were straight forward so assembly wasn't bad but you sure notice quickly how thin the material is. This is our 3rd shed in the yard and i think it's the least durable. I'll be shocked if small hail doesn't punch right through it. The frame is also not very sturdy and can be warped easily. The roof is high so you need a ladder to really get up to the last few roof pegs that get pushed in but if you lean a ladder at all against the shed it bends and the walls start popping/edges snapping the frame will warp. I'm 6ft with long arms and it was a struggle so good luck if you're shorter! The shed was on sale so the price was reasonable but once you've built it you'll be saying "oof i should have spent the extra dollars". The other shed i built next to it for about $700 more is like a stone castle compared to this thing.

I am sorry you feel the shed doesn't meet your expectations. However, the steel you mention is made with heavy duty steel and I can't understand how you say it isn't very steady or can warped easily. The roof is high as you want in a shed. I don't believe having a low shed is an advantage to walking in and storing equipment. The walls are made from PVC which is fire retardant and protects your interior items. I think you will change your mind in a few years when you see the shed looks as good as the day your purchased it.

Questions

Q: How does this shed hold up in the winter with lots of snow and strong winds??

4 Answers
  • A: I've lived in northern Ontario my entire life and have put togther several sheds. Always add your own roof support as snow (sometimes mixed with rain) can add a lot of weight to the roof. Usually I use 2x4s or 2x6s to make my supports.

Q: Hi there, how thick are the walls? Does this provide any kind of insulation?

2 Answers
  • A: walls are pretty thin. No insulation. My biggest beef is the amount of effort to put it together. My last one was basically 4 walls and the roof and a handful of bolts. This one requires screws on every wall - and lots of them.

Q: What anchors do you use to anchor it into the ground/gravel base?

2 Answers
  • A: I didn't anchor it. i had poured a concrete base underneath on which to place the shed. Once i started putting in objects it seemed sturdy enough that there is little chance of it moving or getting blown about. It has a metal grid base which can have concrete poured into it or slabs (wood or concrete) placed on top of it as a floor. I used particle boards.

Q: Does this include a floor?

2 Answers
  • A: No floor (i'm assuming you referring to a cover) but there is a frame that connects to the rest of the shed that acts as to make it more sturdy. You can place sheets of flooring on it like wood or you could pour concrete (i used sheets of wood) hope this helps.
