Stove works really good . But requires a separate purchase of the blower unit for it too get any heat . If you are going to use the durra vent double wall chimney pipe make sure you purchase the stove top adapter , which isn’t available at stores or online at CT.

Drolet woodstove in workshop/garage.

A good woodstove from a respectable manufacturer. I installed this in my poorly insulated 1000 sq ft workshop with 12 ft ceilings. This stove heats the shop from 0-15'C quickly on a day like today (-25'C wc-33'C). I expect I'll have to put much less wood in once I properly insulate this space.
In my opinion the ash pan and the plug is useless. My 10+ year old Drolet in the house has the same setup and I'll never use it. It's a more efficient use of time to shovel the ash out into a pail.

It does not provide as much heat as I had hoped or was led to believe. The draft appears to be undersized, and will not provide sufficient combustion air.

A: This stove was tested and safety rated with the Top Air Mate attached and it should not be removed. The Drolet Classic Wood Stove SKU 642894 at Canadian Tire is similar in size and does not have a Top Air Mate.
