The versatile 3/16 In. (4.8 mm) diameter Carving bit is made of high-grade steel for use on wood, plastic and soft metals. For use with all Dremel high-speed rotary tools, these high-speed cutters work well for detailed material removal in applications like shaping, carving, engraving, hollowing, precision cutting, grooving, slotting, inlaying, making tapered holes or freehand routing. The pear shape of the carving bit can be used to make round edges.

    This Little Bailed Me Out

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was working on a Chevy V8 that had a plastic cooling system fitting broke off in the intake. An ez-out could not get a good enough grip to get out the stub that remained. What will we do? Got out the trusty Dremel and with this bit was able to whittle it into pieces small enough to get it out. Dremel saved the day and whole lot of time again!!!

    Wood lettering craft

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are in our 2nd dremel tool and the versatility is second to none. Pop in a different tip and you've got a new use! This but I used for a simple wood craft i made for a friend. Over knots in the wood i would have to be extra careful to stay on my stencil since the wood was harder, but it would go through!
