The 4486 Keyless Chuck eliminates the need for a collet and wrench when changing accessories. The steel 3-jaw chuck can be used with all Dremel rotary tools and can be used with all bits with a 1/32 In. to 1/8 In. shank. Ideal for light-duty accessories including drill bits, sanding drums, polishing wheels, wire & bristle brushes, cut-off wheels, and more. Don't get rid of your included collet and tools! Be sure to have extra pliers handy for WHEN this unit seizes. I prefer them only because they are useful while they last. Expect to replace or save money and keep little wrenches handy and skip it all together. I am finally fed up with them as I shop for an improved version of it on this website. Bought another one, it was seized out of the package. Soaked it in oil, never unseized. Bought a replacement for it and it would not thread all they in to secure the tool. Then I saw I could leave a review....so here we are.

It was great until on of the three pieces that grip the bit seems to have gotten out of place. Maybe broken internally. Had it about a month now. Useless now. I would like to have another as I am hoping this was just a one time thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this. It has allowed me to use smaller drill bits to put holes in my earrings to add jump rings. I strongly believe this should be included in every Dremel that is sold it is a must-have

Q: Does this work with the Mastercraft Rotary Tool? Mastercraft 250-pc Rotary Tool Kit Product #54-4892-4

A: The short answer is, yes it will fit. I bought one to test it as I have the Mastercraft tool. Once you remove the collet nut and collet, the chuck will thread onto the shaft. That being said, as stated in the other answer, Dremel and CT will not recommend you use this chuck with the Mastercraft tool. If you do and something gets damaged (the rotary tool or the chuck) you will likely not be provided warranty by either party. So, it does fit the Mastercraft rotary tool, but there is no guarantee that it will work properly with it. And if you do decide to use it anyway, you do so at your own risk.
