Swaged connections

Good replacement for my steel ladder. Only fear is that the swaged/bolted connections at the dock level move and I fear may fail with use. The steel ladder was welded.

Easy to assemble and install but ladder is smaller than most….the verticals are narrow, the steps almost painfully narrow for bare feet and the curved top tubing should extend higher for good leverage. You get what you pay for.

A: On mine, in time (months/year), white clumps of deposit appeared on the immerged surfaces, probably as a result the aluminum reacting with the chlorine in the water. The clumps are quite hard to remove even with sand paper. Otherwise, it works quite well attached to a deck, with no part resting on the pool liner. But those growing white clumps are not esthetically pleasing.

Q: Is the step portion of the ladder detachable from the upper (handrail) portion that is attached to the dock? That is, do I have to entirely remove the ladder from the dock at the end of the season, or can the bottom section (only) be removed? Thanks

Q: does it come with screws to attach it to the dock? do I have to install every step on it? how deep is that part that goes horizontally on the wood?

A: All nuts and bolts to assemble the ladder .Bolts to fasten to he dock are not included . Thickness of dock may vary. Depth of ladder from dock level is app. One meter

A: Hello, the hardware included is for assembly only. All mounting hardware is sold separately. As there are many different styles of docks, decking and applications, including one set of mounting hardware would not be feasible.
