After 25 years

I bought DW703 the previous 25 years ago it is very similar and the saw is great. Cuts 4x4, 2x6. flooring. large pieces of wood with flipping. Pretty much all that is needed and no need to get a large saw with slide, good for small spaces. The saw precision is good, good rpm, sawing with peck motion down up and down and up multiple times through thick wood fine blade works well. Using a base with it is great and well worth. 80 teeth carbide works great for very smooth cuts. The motor has been the same for 25 years, shop vac attachment works well. 10" blade easy to find deals. Remember to clean saw dust for clean action. All hardware, attachment and the complete saw are in great condition after 25 years, Base in great shape, bevel, and mitre.

Reliable Precision in a Compact Package – DWS713 is a Game-Changer!
I recently picked up the DEWALT DWS713 10 in. Compound Miter Saw, and it has quickly become an essential tool in my workshop. Right out of the box, this saw impressed me with its solid build quality and smooth operation.
The 15-amp motor delivers more than enough power for clean, accurate cuts through a variety of materials, from trim to hardwood. The miter detent plate with 14 positive stops makes angle changes quick and repeatable, and the cam lock miter handle is intuitive and secure – no wobble or play during cuts.
What really stands out is the lightweight and portable design. At around 31 lbs., it's easy to carry to job sites without sacrificing durability. The tall sliding fence supports crown molding vertically, which is a huge plus for trim work.

The best built miter saw ever released

I have the much older , much heavier version of this saw. I bought that saw and the 10in DeWalt job site table saw back in 2004 when I built my house . I still use both of those saws daily . Now have got to admit that I envious of the lighter models that have come out over the years. Yet how minimal of a complaint is that when you think about it. This saw has been in use for 21 years . The blade guard has some stripped bolt holes and the bevel motion is a bit stiff. Yet the saw is still running strong . It maintains its accuracy very well and when it needs to be calibrated . Doing so is very easy. . This is a great saw that will last you a life time. . if you are not completely sure that you want this saw . Do not buy it , because it is going to be with you for the rest of your life.

A: This saw doesn't come with extension arms. You can purchase extension arms and other parts (such as a hold down clamp) from the Dewalt website, but the prices are steep. You could also just buy a miter saw stand from CT. The other option is to build a custom miter saw cart for your saw. There are several free portable designs on the Internet.

A: according to my owner's manual for the Dewalt DW713, the laser accessory DW7187 may be purchased separately and added to this product. I personally have not tried it.
