It's worth but a super useful tool!

The money-worth high-quality cordless jigsaw I had in my construction life. My old corded jigsaw just quit working, so I decided to try this new cordless jigsaw despite its higher cost (I understand it's the battery, charger, and cordless technology factors). I was super-pleasant using it as it went super smooth, blows very well and easy to manuver.

Great tool, in general, but why is there no cutting guide? The shoe has a slot for a guide (or "fence") but none is provided, and none seems to be available to purchase, either.

Have been using this tool since purchased in May 2014 for all sorts of projects. It has not failed me because I don't abuse the tool or expect it to so something unreasonable! The battery (DCB204) is still strong and reliable. Again, pay attention to how these Li-ion batteries are to be used and stored and when to charge. I'm approaching my 8th year with this battery, saw, and charger and they are perfect for me. DeWalt has always been a good brand for me because I do what is suggested in the maintenance of the product and care. I suggest you buy DeWalt and take care of the tool and enjoy years of hassle free usage.
