    Massive piece of junk

    It is large and looks impressive but I was fooled. Sits and bangs and bangs but never spins off a simple lug nut torqued to 100 lbs. Huge expense for something that doesn’t do what it is designed to do. Shame on you DeWalt.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used ratchets and an air compressor to change my tires for that past 10 years or so. I got tired of braking sockets, and I knew it was a matter of time before my back got hurt as well. I decided to buy an impact that I knew would carry a good reputation. I bought this, and I regret that I didn't buy one years ago. Made changing my tires out a breeze in comparison. I could have saved so much time and energy if I would have purchased this years ago!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my DeWalt half inch impact in 2004 4 large bolts and this sucker just won't break. Dropped it from 30 ft and it was submerged in a flood and it's still keeps going. Crazy tough

    Q: Is this good for real tight nuts and bolts on a vehicle?

    • A: Yes, the 54-2792 is made & spec’d for automotive use. However, there may be situations where a nut or bolt has been previously over-torqued beyond necessary specification which may prove difficult for this tool or other to perform properly. Always torque fasteners to manufactures specifications.
