Q: Would this be able to run corded power tools (i.e. circular saws, drills, etc.)? What is the peak voltage? Wondering if this would be a good alternative power supply on construction sites with limited outlets.

      2 Answers
      • A: You can run 120 volt power tools but not for long. I take it out to my Auto wreckers to run drills and cut-off grinders. Maybe 15 minutes of steady work with an 6 amp tool. It depends on what tool you are using as it should run up to an 8.5 amp tool. The less amp draw, the longer it will last. More of an emergency power pack but works great.

Q: Can this product be charged via 12v cigarette lighter socket? Does it have a 12V DC outlet?

      2 Answers
      • A: Yes, but it's really slow. Better to use the 120V wall outlet.

Q: Could it be charged using a battery charger?

      1 Answer
      • A: This unit is designed to be charged using standard household power; 120V AC continuous from your wall socket. So if your battery charger has a 120V AC pass-through that would work.

Q: Can I recharge the power pack from a battery, from the booster cable ?

      1 Answer
      • A: A battery is incapable of charging another battery by just connecting them together. You could recharge the power pack if connected to a battery that's in a vehicle AND the vehicle's engine is left running (i.e. use the vehicle's alternator to recharge the power pack) but this could also overcharge the power pack if you're not careful. You are better off using the 12V socket to recharge the power pack inside your vehicle.

      • A: Remove the load and cycle the AC power button and that should reset the inverter.
