No good for reading

Not happy with this purchase. Even on the brightest setting it does not provide enough light to read by. Had to exchange it. Do not reccomend as a reading lamp.

Terrible design - DO NOT BUY

Talk about a great looking lamp. They are very beautiful desk lamps, really they are. But here's the problem. I bought one.. in 12 hours the touch sensor died..
Returned and replaced.... Second... guess what? EXACT SAME PROBLEM!
Sorry, this lamp looks fantastic but it is absolutely garbage!
If you are thinking of modifying one of these to remove the touch dimmer on it and install a switch or in-line dimmer... it is just rubbish!
Avoid it entirely...

Great lamp

I've had one of these beside my bed for about a year. I love it so much, I'm going to buy a second one for my desk tomorrow. The touch controls are both convenient and fun.
Works great with a good-quality dimmable LED bulb. Sadly, you'll need to avoid the brands CT currently sells, as they flicker on the brightest setting (it's a problem with the bulb, not the lamp). The Phillips bulbs work great.

Perfect Touch Lamp

I have had this exact lamp for about 5 years now and I love it. Very sensitive to touch which makes it fast and easy to change the brightness. Has 3 levels of brightness and the steel material makes it very easy to clean.

A good touch control lamp

Pro:
(1) The lamp is fun to use. It responds to a GENTLE touch at ANY places of the lamp.
(2) Though it takes max 40W bulb, it is quite a bright lamp
(3) The lamp looks good with many interior design
Cons
(1) As you cannot adjust the angle of the bulb, this lamp is not for reading books at bed.
(2) As the lamp is with steel base, it may cause static electric shock in winter. I have to cover the base with plastic wrap to avoid static electric shock.
Overall I am happy with the touch control feature and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a touch control lamp.

A: There is no switch for this lamp. You can turn on/off or change the brightness level of the lamp just by touching any places of the lamp. When you first touch the lamp, the lamp will turn on to the night (dim) level. If you touch it once more, it will change from dim to brighter level. If you touch the lamp again, it will change from brighter level to the brightest level. If you want to turn off the lamp, just touch the lamp again. In short, touch any places of the lamp, the lamp will change from off -> dim -> brighter -> brightest -> off again
