We were so excited to get this as it is very beautiful. We love the nice warmth it gives off and it really compliments our living area. Unfortunately now that we have had it for about 8 months we have noticed a bad flaw about the material used. The material used for some of the parts was not solid war neither was it plywood but instead they used MDF. MDF does not like any kind of moisture at all. The only thing we use on our stand is lysol wipes and over time this is still too much moisture. The whole top surface has very noticeable bubbling over the whole surface . Very beautiful but do not clean it lol.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Nice looking, warm and huge tv fits perfectly on it.
Cabinet is very nice. A bit hard to understand all the instructions, it got a bit weird building it. Instructions may be a confusing and make no sense but...it goes together with imaginative planning..lol

A: I am updating my response of last week, now that I have this unit in my home: I was not able to find the wattage on the outside of the box ( so must have remembered seeing it on another unit - sorry!) As well, I am finding the fan rather loud, louder that it was in the store . . . could be the difference in background noise at the store vs. no noise except for the fan at my house. The fire looks excellent compared to other models I've looked at. The overall appearance is great and my husband reports the assembly was 'straight-forward.' Price was good too - $299.99

Q: Do the flames move or flicker in the fireplace? Our fireplace comes on, but the flames don't move. I've seen other fireplaces where the flames would dance around, but not this one. Just wondering if it's just ours that has a defect or if they're all like that.
