Q: does it actually drip the coffee? or doos the water run through the grinds quickly resulting in a weaker brew

A: Hello Jill. Thank you for your interest in the Dash Drip Coffee Maker! Yes, this coffee maker functions as a drip coffee maker. During the brewing process you may remove the Carafe to serve for up to 30 seconds, and the Coffee Maker will stop dripping automatically. Hope this helps!

A: If your talking about the holder for the filter, I don't know. The filter itself you can buy, there are aftermarket reusable filters that fit.

Q: This is advertised as having a 900W "motor". A 900W boiler/heater would make sense, but a motor? Motors turn electricity into mechanical rotation.
