Product is dry, couldn’t apply. Not spreadable. Made my repair worst. I had to clean the mess and used another product, wasted triple the time. Couldn’t return it because I used a bit of it. Maybe it’s been sitting on the shelf long.

Thank you for posting your feedback on DAP Wall Repair Patch Kit. Based on your commentary, you appear to be describing aged/expired material. As the product ages, it will thicken to the point of becoming difficult or impractical to use. Because DAP does not have direct control of stock rotation/inventory management, if you should encounter aged inventory/product that was sold in unusable expired/condition, the product should be returned to the point of purchase (DAP will issue a credit to the retailer for the returned item) or alternately, the product (with proof of purchase) can be returned directly to DAP for a refund of your purchase price. Q: When was product manufactured when label sticker reads "1240041". There is nothing on DAP web site that covers manufacturing date code. This is important since some sellers sell product older than one year leading to product failure.
