With 100% waterproof protection and maximum flexibility to expand and contract with the elements, this sealant creates a permanent weatherproof shield that will stand up to temperature extremes. The fast-drying formula means you can reassemble frames and reapply trim in just 30 minutes, making repairs quick and easy - even in the middle of a rainstorm. still tacky and soft after 24 hours, I contacted their chat on the website they basically wasted my time trying to come up with reasons that it was my fault.
Told them it was applied on interior window trim in a 20c room, they asked what the outside temperature was...
They asked for the batch number, the tube had no batch number printed on it.. maybe they should work on that since they need it to know if it's expired..
Now I have to remove the uncured mess, then clean up the tacky leftovers with mineral spirits which I also have to buy now..
So I'm out $29.88 for 2 useless tubes of caulk, plus whatever the spirits cost, plus the time to apply it, time to remove it, and now the cost to buy a better brand and the time to reapply that..
Safe to say I will never buy another DAP product.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for posting your feedback on DAP AMP Advanced Window Door and Siding Sealant. We are sorry to see your low star review on our product. As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: "Allow sealant to cure for at least 30 minutes before exposing to water. Sealant surface may still be tacky. Sealant reaches full cure in 24 hours." There is nothing required to address the tacky surface feel of the material, other than to allow the product to fully cure. So long as the product has been allowed to "skin over" (surface cure > 30 minutes), the area can be exposed to water/returned to service and painting. In regard to your commentary indicating "They asked for the batch number, the tube had no batch number printed on it.. maybe they should work on that since they need it to know if it's expired", the code date is typically a 5 or 6-digit number and time stamp, that is printed on the package at the time of manufacture/filling. If there is no code date printed on the package, there will be no way to accurately determine the product's age. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, the product may be returned to the point of purchase or returned directly to DAP for a refund of your purchase price. Instructions for this process can be found on the product package. Q: Has this or will this turn yellow over time or does it stay white. The last time I caulked my RV the stuff I used turned yellow quite soon but it wasn't this product. Thanks.
