The rod is excellent, but the rod blank was defective and broke on my first outing with it. Thankfully the local team accepted the return and refunded the full amount. Since it was for a trip, I was able to find the same model at another retailer. Note that unlike the product picture, the rod has a split grip. I knew this going into ordering the rod.
