Holds it's own against Le Frenchy

For this sale price it was a total no brainer. I did my research and compared this to the LC and really, there is very little outward difference other than weight. This is about 3lbs heavier than the same size LC but I'm mighty enough to lift and handle even when loaded with a 10 lb chicken and veggies. Still, 3lbs doesn't justify the massive price difference. Will be interesting to see how the enamel holds up but I plan on babying this and won't use metal utensils. My last dutch was a KitchenAid and it did not last as enamel totally chipped and flaked on bottom so hoping for better performance from Cuisinart. Handles are big enough to comfortably grip with mitts but they get hot during a long simmer.

Bought on line as clearance item, Dundas/Bay location had best price of all stores. Used next night for lamb shanks....worked really well!!! Cleaned up nicely too.

We got this on sale for an excellent price. I love it! And the colour is great, too. It's heavy, but that's to be expected with it's size. Definitely a good investment piece.
