Cuisinart bpa free popcorn maker

Looking to not pollute my family with toxic chemicals found in microwave popcorn and industrial created bagged popcorns, by making my own at home. Found this unit on sale that has a decent capacity. It works good I like the machine and it makes decent portions!

Flying kernels

I was so disappointed because I was so happy to get this as a gift from my boss and the first time it worked well the second time and after that flying kernels are everywhere I wish that they would pop instead of fly out of the shoot so I do not recommend this product either.

Highly Recommend EasyPop Hot Air Popcorn Maker

I had to throw out 2 air poppers before I got the Cuisinart. The popcorn stopped popping properly. I think it is the inferior way they process the popping corn kernels now. Somehow they are not moist enough to pop
properly. It's a problem everywhere and no one is addressing it publically. I used Big Yellow Popcorn brand which didn't pop up with other hot air poppers most recently (due to popcorn kernel issues: I couldn't pot pop either--most didn't pop). I ordered the Cuisinart and I think it runs at a higher temperature. I got very very good results with it. Not every kernel popped but way way more than popped with the other brands and stove method. I actually ended up with a decent bowl of popcorn. I was pleased. I would recommend the Cuisinart EasyPop. If you just tip it forward on the back end with a wedge (I used a small stack of cork trivets) the popcorn goes into the bowl (which I raise up on another upside down bowl so it is closer to the funnel) and I didn't have any problem with flying popcorn kernels.

Kernels fly out before popping. Too many fly out. This is a poorly designed air popper. I would recommend they redesign and manufacture a new model that works more efficiently, and replace the ones that don't work properly.
No, I do not recommend this product.
