Q: Will this size pellet .177 caliper 7.4 gr kill a rat ?

A: It will certainly penetrate skin and muscle. The answer to your question really depends on where the pellet impacts the rat. If you strike it in the stomach area it probably will not kill it right away. However, if you strike it in the lung area it probably will.

A: At max distance almost no pellet gun is still at killing power. Also the accuracy of the shot plays a huge role in whether or not you get the kill or not. Therefore your question is very hard to answer. Although I will tell you that these to much more damage than any other type of corssman pellet. My 490fps rifle tears apart small game with these pellets, that would sometimes take 2 or 3 shots with pointed pellets. Cheers!

Q: How often should you clean the barrel on my crosman 1377 air gun. Do I need to put on oil on the inside barrel? What kind of oil?

A: Unlike a firearm, there is no powder buildup with an airgun like the Crosman 1377 pistol so we only recommend cleaning the barrel if the accuracy changes. If you do use oil, make sure it is Crosman Pellgun oil and never use a lubricant that contains petroleum distillates or solvents.

Q: I have a beeman P17 that I am using to get rid of a woodpecker making holes in my house siding. What is the best pellet to get rid of it permanently? Would this pellet work on the air air pistol?

A: The Crosman Destroyer pellets should work in any .177 caliber airgun, however, you may want to contact Beeman for their recommendation.
