Q: How long does it take to heat up soup?

A: Hello, thank you for your inquiry. The Crock-Pot Black Licorice Electric Lunch Box is designed as a portable food warmer, not a fast cooker. It uses a low-wattage (around 50 W) heating element to gently warm food to about 160 °F (71 °C). For soup or similar meals, the heating time is approximately 30–40 minutes to reach a hot, ready-to-eat temperature (depending on starting temperature and portion size). If the soup is cold from the fridge, expect closer to 40 minutes. If it’s room temperature, it may take 25–30 minutes.
