Old fashioned look that adds to my yard

Wonderful look. Holds lots of food. The lid/top(which comes off in order to load up the seed) you may need to add additional strapping to keep gangs of squirrels out.

Birds really like it - after a mod

At first very few birds would come to it, they used another feeder. I changed the metal bar they stand on to a wooden dowel and now the birds flock to it (pun intended), they sometimes actually fight for space. I like how it is easy to fill, can see how much seed there is in it and the overhang keeps the seed fairly dry.

Birdhouse wasn't as large as i thought it would be. It looks kind of funny on the post i have it on but the squirrels can't get at the seed. Win for me, loss for the squirrels. Chipmunks are happy though because they are light enough to still get them.

Q: I can’t get the silver metal hanger to stay on? Am I missing a piece?

A: I did not use the silver metal hanger as it caused the feeder to tilt forward . We mounted it on a post . The squirrels in West Dublin ,Nova Scotia LOVE IT ! They have even learned how to sit on the top lip & operate the NO SQUIRREL tension lever . It keeps my regularly exercised chasing them away ..... lol .As per this purchase ... it was a year ago .
