Product Details

The Bernzomatic® Copper Phosphorus Brazing and Welding Rods are ideal for use in refrigeration, electrical and plumbing applications. These rods can be used to join copper tubes and pipes, electrical wires or flexible tubing, or to braze copper with bronze or brass. They have a tensile strength of 40,000 psi and a working temperature of 1,350 to 1,550 degrees Fahrenheit. Package includes three rods.

It’s okay, but a little pricy and I feel it takes more time to melt sometimes. I don’t know if it’s depending on lot quality? I’m always using their MAP has only with 8000 torch head.

Q: Can this be used for HVAC pipe brazing?

A: The Bernzomatic PC3 has a working temperature range of 1310 degrees F. to 1475 degrees F. and a tensile strength of 40,000 PSI. Unless your application has severe vibration, the PC3 should be a viable brazing rod for you
