Absolutely Worst design for cleaning

I bought this from Canadian Tire couple of years ago. This grill design is almost impossible to clean the cooking grates. Otherwise works fine. Considerably reduced my interest in grilling on the Gas side. However, the Charcoal side is OK.
No, I do not recommend this product.

DONT' BUY THIS PRODUCT

Buy a 300$ Charcoal and a 300$ Gaz Grill and you will get a lot more quality...
I have mine for the second year now, Lighter didn'T work... I have two grill under charcoal passed... They send me a new one under warranty, after I claimed it's was not good and twisted on their facebook... Else, Canadian Tire would not helped me at all... And the new one was the same bad product... You can'T go over 500 degree, else, this charcoal support will twist.
If you want a good BBQ, don't buy this product. And if you want gas and charcoal, buy the two separate, for 300$ each, and you will save 300$ for charcoal and steak...
I had a Broil King before, all stainless, and a lot more quality, that I paid 799$... I did 6 years of abusive uses with it... If I had treaten my Coleman the same way, this things had never live for more than 3 month. And I really doubt that it will do more than 3 years...

Good Grill Better Customer Service

Bought the grill with a group for our friend's housewarming gift. After opening up the box we were given 2 sets of the cast iron grills and none of the ceramic parts. Called the customer service line for Coleman and to my great surprise they sent the missing parts within 2 days by express post. Spent a total of maybe 5 minutes on the phone dealing with them. Truly amazing compared to what I was dreading. Grill has held up and is perfect for hosting large groups. Top marks!!

I love my BBQ the only complaint I have is the top grill on the charcoal side! It wont stay in place! When I cook using the upper grill it falls out leaving meet all over lower grill.

Does Not Hold Up

Bought this grill two and a half years ago and while we love the duel cooking feature the grill itself was a huge disappointment. We bought the very expensive coleman grill cover to go with the grill to make sure it was protected although we don't get a lot of rain or snow where we live But the grill still started to rust after the first year and has gotten worse to the point we need to replace it. The ignition button was the first knob to break and even though you can still use it I don't think after a years use this should happen. I have bought cheaper grills that held up better with a cheap cover than this one did.

Q: Do the casters (wheels) have a lock on them? I was wondering because if/when I buy this bbq it will be going on a slightly inclined surface...

A: Thank you for your question. This unit does come with locking casters. However, because of the units size and weight we would definitely recommend against placing the unit on any incline. The last thing we want is a unit this size tipping over in high winds, or slippery conditions. What you may want to do is visit your local hardware store to see if there are universal feet that can be used to stabilize the grills base. i think your concern of placing a grill on an inclined surface is a very valid one. Hope this helps.

Q: Back panel missing? Hi, i purchased and assembled this unit. I am very happy with it, however the lower back of the bbq is open exposing shelf and other storage. Is this by design or it is a missing part in my package?

A: There is NO back panel as it would be enclosing the propane tank or NG fitting creating a severe hazard.

A: Fit into my Subaru Forrester with rear seats folded. Make sure to load right side up as packaging is designed to protect it. Have at least three people help unload otherwise you may strain yourself.

A: I bought the rotisserie and was disappointed that it didn't go across both sides of the BBQ. You basically have to pick one side to use it on or disassemble and reassemble every time you want to switch sides. Luckily I had a couple of other old rotisseries around that I could improvise.
