feels solid but doesn't seal well

The handle of this plunger gave me high hopes. it simply feels solid and pluger feels weighty. it felt a lot better than korky one. I get it home to test on my toilet and it doesn't seal to the bottom very well. Because it doesn't seal well, I am unable to generate the kind of pluging force I would want. Now i'm stuck hoping I can return it. I would suggest avoiding the premium price.
