3 years agoA: The power cable for this radio is permanently attached to the back of the radio. You would need to route the cable from the mounting location to the power source.

9 years agoA: The preferred method to install a CB radio to a vehicle is connecting it directly to the battery (power source). This is more of a permanent installation.Connecting directly to the battery eliminates the possibility of interference from the vehicle’s electronics. One point to keep in mind is that the user must turn off the CB before exiting the vehicle for the day since the radio will remain on when the vehicle is off, and drain the battery. If you want to temporarily install the radio in the vehicle. You can purchase a 12V lighter plug and attach to the red and black wires coming out of the CB radio. Polarity must be observed when attaching the CLP to the cables. Positive (red) is typically the center pin of the plug. The negative (black) lead is always negative, and is typically the side contacts on the plug

Q: Does the Squelch have to be at Min to be able to transmit? I have just gotten into using a CB radio. I don't know too much about them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Does the squelch have to be at min to be able to transmit on the radio?
