This thing is magic. I had huge water lines under my CX5 side mirrors that wouldnt go away with soap, vinegar, wd40... They went away in seconds with this thing! Sure, its quite expensive, but works and will save you time!

Excellent Excellent Excellent Product. I had hard ward etching spots on my vehicle windows for 3 years after having the 2021 CX5 in Mexico for 2 winters. The product video says that it works on spots that are fairly fresh and that with older spots that are burnt in, there are no promises. The first time I tried it temperature outside was around 22 C in the shade, and the gel product started drying before the chemical breakdown of the spots was complete. The next morning I tried again with an outdoor temp of 14 C and it worked awesome. Literally all the spots are completely gone! Be sure to Windex the extensively after to make sure all the chemical is removed to prevent hazing and possible etching.

Effective, Not User Friendly

Product works well but there are tradeoffs / good to know before you use it. Do not attempt on a warm windshield or in direct sun, under no circumstances. It is very helpful if you clean *and clay bar* the area in question prior to application. Keep a bucket of warm, soapy (preferably dish soap) water on hand and an absorbing towel. - If you don't neutralize this product very quickly, it will haze and it becomes very difficult to remove. This is especially problematic on a windshield. Do not repeat applications. - This product is very strong (relative to other DIY products), if the spots don't come out - you need to use a polishing compound as they are etched in. Keep a polymer / ceramic spray detailer on hand (+ automotive window cleaner if removing spots from glass) to apply after soap/water solution is removed. Dish soap *will remove* waxes and coatings.

Q: Is this safe to use on a car with ceramic coating

A: As it turns out, I did not give this a try. I was told to try vinegar and it removed the water spots so well I did not use the product. The water spots are alkaline and vinegar is acidic. I used a detail spray before and then after using the vinegar to neutralize the acid.
