Great Winch for a Snowplow

I installed this winch on my 2014 Kawasaki Teryx 800 to replace a well-worn Traveller winch, and I could not be happier with it. The installation was a snap. I did the whole thing in freezing weather and did not use the included switches or wiring yet, that will be a spring project. For now, it was literally four bolts and two terminals. The synthetic rope material and fairlead are a big improvement over my old steel cable setup. The fairlead has a much better exit angle for attaching to the snowplow, which made things cleaner and smoother. I also added a pulley kit at the same time. I had never done that before, but it was easy and worked perfectly with this winch. One very minor suggestion for improvement would be to make the mounting bolts about a quarter inch longer. I could not get them to start with the washers installed, so I removed the washers and everything tightened up fine. Overall, this winch gets real use plowing snow, not just occasional pulls, and it has been performing great. Strong, smooth, and easy to install. I am very happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it.

3500 on Suzuki King Quad

Just finished installation of Champion 3500 winch on my new Suzuki King Quad 750. Instructions for wiring were easy to follow. Everything functioned perfect. Placement of circuit breaker and solenoid contactor may be different for different machines though I feel I put them where they fit best. Google your specific machines for ideas. I did not use the supplied mounting plate for I made a deal at purchase to include a specific plate for my machine. It was a Warn winch plate and holes fit perfect to the winch. Take your time don't hurry.
