It works for a bit.

It works for a short while but the generator vibrates, and the connection isn't very tight and slips out. Then the one prong shorts and gets black. So I tend to replace it frequently.

Our generator doesn’t have the proper outlet for the standard 30 amp rv plug. The adapter is just I needed to hook up our trailer and run the Air Conditioning and lights!

Q: I am having installed a A 30 amp 125 volt RV plug. Would this convert it to 110V and then connect a drill or circular saw to it. Would this be the product to purchase? What would the output AMP be for the 110V output?

A: First it is important to understand... 110, 120, and 125V all are essentially the same thing for the purpose of this discussion. The adapters and extension cords you purchase will all have a rating on them which usually is 125/250V and the respective amperage. This is a maximum tolerance. The term 110V and 120V are literally interchangeable. The current standard is 120/240V. It was previously referred to as 110/220V. They are the same and the acceptable voltage tolerance range is +/-10%. That being said, this adapter is rated for 125V at 30A which is about 3,600 watts.

A: This plug was designed and engineered for RV plugs. We are not certain if this plug will be compatible with marina connections.

A: This is a NEMA L5-30 plug which is a standardized outlet size used in North America. This will fit in any NEMA L5-30 receptacle.
