Q: Will this work even if my detached garage is not heated? It gets really cold during winter.

A: There is zero heat in our garage and we have never experienced any problems. I think the helpful part is that the communication hub is plugged in so that must be enough to keep it warm and help it continue to function properly. As for the sensor, the app just sent an email saying that the battery in the sensor for the door needs to be replaced. This product has been amazing to know when our son gets home from school and whether or not the door was closed behind him. You can close the door remotely from your cell phone.

Q: Does the Smart Hub only work on 2.4g wifi or can they use 5g wifi now. Already have older Smart Hubs that will not work on our new wifi?

Q: I'm interested in something like this to be able to monitor door status, open/close remotely and cut the power to the opener at night or while on vacation. The last part may be the hard part of the request but I know of another product that does it.

A: This device will allow you to monitor your door and open/close it through the app. However, it will not allow you to cut the power to the opener.

Q: How many doors can this unit control ? I have a 3 door garage with 3 Chamberlain openers.

A: The Smart Garage Hub can control up to 2 non-myQ enabled garage door openers. You will need 2 hubs and 1 additional door sensor for all three doors if they are not myQ enabled. If your other Chamberlain openers have a yellow learn button and use Security + 2.0 technology then you will only need 1 hub, and do not need to use the door sensors. Q: I have two garage doors that are MyQ compatible in the same garage. Do I need to buy two hubs, or will one work?

A: If both garage door openers are myQ compatible, you can just purchase a myQ Home Bridge and add both openers under the gateway. You can purchase it here: https://www.chamberlain.com/myq-home-bridge/p/MYQ-G0303-SP If you are referring to the Home Bridge, you would only need one, no sensors needed.

Q: Does the chamberlain hub and door sensor work with the blackberry smart phones? Will it send texts and emails if left open? Will it resend messages if condition is not rectified after a specified time period?
