Sensor Bracket might be too small

Great Opener, but Be Aware of Sensor Bracket Fit (Easy Fix!)
I purchased the Chamberlain C2202C 1/2-HP Chain Drive Garage Door Opener about a month ago, and overall, I'm very satisfied with the product. The opener itself is reliable, and the MyQ app integration is a fantastic feature that I use constantly.
However, I had an issue during installation regarding the safety sensors. The provided mounting brackets positioned the sensors were too close to the garage walls for my specific setup. Even though the indicator lights were solid green and amber, suggesting proper alignment; the door would go down, touch the floor, and immediately bounce back up automatically. The remote and wall button wouldn't keep the door closed, and even customer service agents couldn't identify the exact cause over the phone, initially suspecting sensor malfunction.
It seems the brackets for this model are smaller than my old opener's brackets. The fix was simple but required a small modification: I placed a piece of 3/4" plywood between the wall and each mounting bracket to move the sensors further out. Once the sensors had enough clearance and a clear path to each other, the green indicator lights glowed steadily, and the opener worked perfectly.

A: Although your new garage door opener may appear similar in design to your old opener, our recommendation is that you replace the entire opener. This includes mounting hardware, rails, wired door controls and wireless remote devices.

Q: It's been 2 months since I bought it, when I program the Travel, I keep getting an error sound. As the manual says, if you press the Adjustment and up, adjustment, down, and adjustment buttons, the up button blinks again and the door opens again.

A: A double door should open as easily as a single door if the springs are set right. I purchased one of these openers and was so pleased I bought a second one for my other garage door. East to install, the remote has good range. You should have no problem using this opener.
