Could not get external Remote garage opener to wor

Tried most every thing to get external push button door opener to work. Need help or resend new external unit. Had help with an installer. "Mr. Fix It" 304-636-2164

Very strong, destroyed my garage door completely

1/2HP is very adequate for most garage doors.
However these units don't have emergency override in the up direction. My garage door was locked mechanically and I forgot and tried to open the garage door.
Unfortunately the remote, the wall mount switch, would not stop the garage door opener from pulling. As the opener bound the garage door in the tracks it completely ripped apart my brand new garage door.
Huge lack of functionality.
The opener was installed and setup correctly, I also have the chamberlain belt drive unit.
Prospowerful, affordable
Conslacks functionality, not competitive
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good little openers

We just put two of these openers in our new house. They seem pretty robust, sensor mounts are nice and solid.
Just wish they came with two button remotes so we could open either door, so it looks like I'll be buying these seperate along with a wireless keypad.
I've read that the Liftmaster 877MAX is a good choice because you can program it to open more than just one door.

A MUST for every garage/shop!

Bought 2 of these openers now ... One made in 2008 and the last one in 2013.
Have NEVER had an issue with the first one which gets used daily, many times a day.
So impressed, bought another one just like it for a relative for her garage!
Proseasy to install just read the installations
Conswish you could use it without safety sensors.

A: SandyE - Chamberlain openers are manufactured to fit a standard 7 foot garage door. If your garage door is taller than 7 feet you need a rail extension kit. See the Accessories page in the Owner's Manual for extension kit part numbers.

Q: Does the product work with a 10' door right out of the box? The product name says "8/10-ft" but the description says "Compatible with chain drive extension kits for 8' (2.5 m) and 10' (3 m) doors". I have a 10 foot door, so do I have to buy a separate 10' extension to use this with my garage door?
