Q: is this oil good in low temperatures

1 Answer
  • A: The pour point of Certified Hydraulic Oil, ISO 32, is -33°C. It works well in cold temperatures, but not all the way down to the our point. The recommended low temperature limit is -13°C. For applications at lower temperature, a lower viscosity grade product would be needed.

Q: I purchased a 18.9 lit. pail of Certified TDH Trans/Diff. Hydraulic fluid 028-0217-2 for my John Deere tractor. I have since traded the tractor for a Yanmar 324 tractor and have also bought a Kubota RTV 1120D utility vehicle. Is this product suitable.

1 Answer
  • A: The vendor recommends the oil for both vehicles

Q: what is the viscosity rating of the AW68

1 Answer
  • A: It is an ISO68, with a 100’C viscosity of 9.0, 40’C viscosity of 68 and a VI or 107. It would be the equivalent of a AGMA Gear Oil 2 and a SAE equivalent of a SAE80W

Q: Is the AW46 comparable to Mobil DTE25 or Shell Tellus 46?

1 Answer
  • A: Certified Hydraulic AW 46 is comparable to shell Hydraulic S1 M 46. Shell Tellus S2 M 46 is a better performing hydraulic oil and would be an upgrade to the AW 46 or S1 M 46.

Q: Bobcat 331 Excavator my manual calls for 10W-30 or 10W-40 Class SE or better Hydraulic Oil. Is your AW32 suitable?

1 Answer
  • A: If SE refers to API SE specification for gasoline engine then the answer is No. Because Certified Hydraulic Aw 32 does not carry API credentials. Additionally SAE 10W-30 and 10W-40 are greater than ISO 32.

Q: what is the temperature range of aw 32

1 Answer
  • A: The pour point for the AW 32 hydraulic oil is approx. minus 25C. However, ensuring the proper viscosity fluid is being used at the upper temperature limit is a harder question to answer. You see, most hydraulic units are meant to run at approx. 50C to 55C. Now, while this may not be the absolute upper useable temperature range of the AW 32 product (from an oxidation stand-point), you have to consider what the proper viscosity at the operating temperature is before the hydraulic oil is too thin to adequately protect the pump, etc. Hence, it is highly recommended that you follow your Hydraulic system/pump OEM’s requirement for proper viscosity at “operating temperature.” Unless or until you know what that required “viscosity at operating temperature” is (per your system’s/pump’s OEM), we can’t say for sure if an ISO 32 product is the proper viscosity product for your application.
