Q: Can this filter be cleaned and placed back into the humidifier?

Q: How does the wicking Filter HFT600PFC
3 years agoA: Thank you for your inquiry Joan. The wicking filter works by the capillary effect, allowing water to raise up on the filter so the water gets in the way of the blowing air. The blowing air then evaporated the water into the air to add moisture to the air. Q: How does one know when to replace the Honeywell Humidifier Wicking Filter A (HAC504 Series) ? Printing on box says every 1 - 2 months. Will it just stop dispersing the water? Please explain re turning it after 2 weeks per a customer comment. Thank Yo
5 years agoA: Thank you for your inquiry. This is the page for the T filter, not the A filter. However, we will be happy to assist you. As you use the filter, it will slowly absorb minerals from the water. Flipping the filter every time you fill the water tank will help even out the mineral absorption to lengthen the life of the filter. As the filter absorbs minerals, it will stop being able to absorb water and the output will decrease and the filter will dry out faster than it can wick up water. Q: Honeywell Top Fill Cool Moisture Humidifier HEV615 all Canadian Tire in Ottawa say they have them when you go online but when you order the replacement filter HFT600 - HFT600C one are available, how do I get one to keep my humidifier running, HELP!
