Braking woes

Found out the reason my braking was acting up was not because of the brakes, but because my brake fluid was leaking away. This quickly made braking smoother while waiting for my repair appointment. It made it safer to go out to make a short shopping trip in snowy weather. Next stop - my repair shop.

A: Certified DOT 3 Brake fluid is a good overall brake fluid for vehicles needing DOT 3 as recommended in their owners manuals. Europeans makes like Mercedes and BMW’s tend to use DOT 4 based on the way vehicles are driven in Europe and the need for higher performance. One should always check the owners manual to verify the OEM recommendation.
