      Needs Paperwork

While the actual installation process was pretty straightforward, there is a lack of paperwork to go with the tank. It is apparent that there are adjustments that can be carried out, it is also apparent that without a minimum of a quick "how to" page, everything is a guess. The rods connecting the buttons to the activators were not installed properly and the float does not activate the shutoff at the water line but the screw on the lever does not seem to have any effect on this operation.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      Great, so far.

I've owned this toilet for about 4 months now. I originally purchased it for the dual flush feature (3l/6l) and because it was on the smaller end of 12" rough in toilets, as space was an issue. The toilet is pretty small and seems pretty cheap. All the internal parts are plastic, not sure how long they will last, but at least they won't rust. The toilet was about as easy as any other toilet to install, maybe a little easier since it's a bit smaller and lighter. The flush is very powerful. It's really nice to have the 3L to flush liquids to save even further. Truth be told the 3L is powerful enough to flush solids, but I still use the 6L. Since I've owned it, it has never clogged once. As far as looks go it's a pretty plain toilet. I'm not sure how this would fare with heavier people, as the base is pretty small and light (maybe cracking over time). The only real thing that concerns me with this toilet is that it makes a hard knocking noise every time it is flushed. I think/hope it is normal. Either way, it's been working fine to date and I can't see why it won't continue to do so. Lastly, I have seen a significant decrease in my water bill. In my situation this toilet will have paid itself off in 6 months.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      Questions

      1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Is it the green or the yellow button inside the tank that the small button should be positioned over in the san jose dual flush toilet? Anyone know?

      • A: Precisely the problem I encountered. The lack of any instructions leads me to conclude that a product from another manufacturer is surely the way to go - if there are instructions. These dual flush units are not straightforward operations like those most of us grew up with.

Q: Who manufacturs this toilet, and what is the MaP flush performance? MaP flush performance is the grams of solid waste removed from the toilet in a SINGLE flush.

      • A: The unit is under the name "Trebol" and the info on the box indicates that it is from Lima Peru. As for performance MaP nothing was visible. You probably have to go online to the "Trebol" website.
