My 2nd season, so far so good!

Great value for my money, I bought it last year on sale 50% off. (Honestly, I wouldn't pay full price for this model after my experiences with it.) This model does have a lot of great things going for it though: its light and has speed shifters and higher quality derailers than most models, disk brakes front and back, 700c road tires. On the cheap side are the handle bars and the bracket wich clamps them to the neck of the bike with 2 Allen key type screws positioned vertically. After only a few rides the screws loosened and the handlebars pretty much almost fell off the bike...extremely dangerous! It seems odd but those screws wont stay tight. After 2 more events I now ride with the Allen key that fits the screws just in case. (I blame CCM for that) I had actually returned to the store with the bike within the first 2 weeks because I wasn't happy with how the bike was assembled. The derailers and speed shifters were horribly adjusted (if at all, I don't even think they tried running it through all the gears cause I couldn't shift up to the biggest sprocket) The front brakes rubbed on one side all the time and the rear ones didnt break at all! I went into the back with the mecanic and watched until I was satisfied with the adjustments...even then the front breaks still rubbed a little but at least it was now safe to ride. (Not CCM fault) Now that its been adjusted it rides great! I have added some mud gaurds and a gel seat cover for comfort. I ride to and from work almost every day. One thing I will replace in the near future will be the grips. At the list price CCM charges they could have had grips that enabled easy installation of bar ends. To do that I would have to literally cut the ends off the grips to install any accessries.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

I have been riding this for a few months now. It is light, handles well and has no issues. I even hook it up to a trailer so I can tow my kids along with me.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      Great bike, needs immediate tune-up

I use this bike daily to commute. It is comfortable, easy to maneuver and was decently priced (I got it on sale). Unfortunately, I have already encountered many small issues. I namely had to fix the brakes and some spring parts in the back wheel, as it was not turning properly (the springs were placed backwards). I also had to put air in the tires the day I bought the bike, as they were flat when I picked it up. From what the cycling store told me when I took in my bike, the issues are not related to the bike itself but to the way it was assembled. All in all, I do recommend this bike, but it will need an immediate tune-up.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Q: Can the handlebars be raised?

      1 Answer
      • A: The stem connected to the handlebar can be adjusted in height slightly since it’s a threaded stem, this will bring up the height of the handlebar slightly, a certified bicycle technician should be able to do this.
