Only used it once, did a great job, no water got in, easy to load. Probably would fit better on a larger vehicle, I have a 2012 Ford Escape. Made it work

Zipper broke on second use. You're all loaded and ready to go, try to close it, and the pull (plastic) breaks. Bag is unusable.

Q: Will this carrier work with only cross bars ( no side rails)?

Q: Where to get a replacement strap which was taken overnight on our last trip. 1-1/2" x 56" locking. The manufacturer website doesn't seem to have the product, and Canadian Tire stores don't seem to carry the straps.
